Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton

Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton (William Bingham Baring; June 1799–23 March 1864) was a British businessman and a Whig politician who later became a Tory.
==Background and education==
Baring was the eldest son of Alexander Baring, 1st Baron Ashburton and his wife Anne Louisa, daughter of William Bingham.〔Charles Mosley, editor. Burke's Peerage and Baronetage, 106th edition, 2 volumes (Crans, Switzerland: Burke's Peerage (Genealogical Books) Ltd, 1999), volume 1, page 120.〕〔(Record for ''William Bingham Baring, 2nd Baron Ashburton'' on ''thepeerage.com'' )〕 He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford, where he graduated in classics in 1821. He received a Master of Arts in 1836 and a Honorary Doctorate of Civil Law in 1856.
